Transitional Housing
Transitional housing is available to homeless children and families and those who are in imminent danger of becoming homeless. They must be gainfully employed and free of drugs and alcohol. Our Fresh Start Program is for 9 months and the responsibilities of its residents will be a serious commintment to the rules as set forth by its administration.
Our program provides a supervised environment combining intake assessment, education, service/case plan, positive reinforcement, financial counseling and goal planning. The Fresh Start staff provide a full continuum of care from outreach and intake services to placement in permanent housing and steady employment. We at Fresh Start are committed to helping not only our residents but anyone who comes through our doors.
Many children are confused and stressed when homelessness issues are brought into their lives. We offer tutoring and mentoring to help them with school work and also provide counseling referrals when applicable.
